Recycled R22

Don’t let poor quality products put a freeze to your efficiency.

While the use of recycled HCFCs is still permitted until the end of December 2014, there’s no denying that recycled HCFC is of poorer quality than virgin or reclaimed HCFC (ARI 700). And with lesser quality products likely to slow down the productivity of your plant, can you really afford to risk it?

Still tempted? Restrictions mean that recycled R22 can only be used by the refrigerant contractor or owner of the RAC equipment. And while the owner can use the gas across sites they operate, it cannot be sold to or given to third parties.

But it’s not all doom and gloom. BOC is on hand to provide customers with expert, impartial advice developed from years of practical experience with leading alternative refrigerants like R422D.
